Who Can Obtain the Investor KITAS

To qualify for an Investor KITAS, the following criteria must be met: 

• The company must have an authorized capital exceeding 10 billion IDR, with at least 25% paid up. Companies established before 2009 may qualify with a lower capital requirement. 

• The foreign shareholder must have invested a minimum of 1 billion IDR in personal shares in a PMA company and hold a position as Director or Commissioner.

Investment Requirements: 

• A minimum investment of 10 billion IDR in shares is required. 

• The company’s paid-up capital must also be at least 10 billion IDR, with a declared investment plan of the same amount. 

• The sponsoring company must have a business registration number (Nomor Induk Berusaha), trading licenses (Ijin Usaha), and a foreign company investment realization report (LKPM), which is updated quarterly. It must also provide the representative's ID card and tax number. 

If a shareholder holds personal shares exceeding 1.125 billion IDR but does not hold a position in the PMA company, they are still eligible for an Investor KITAS, although employment within Indonesia is not permitted. ​
